The third of St. James' three pillars is restoration – God's mission to restore Glen Carbon for himself. The power behind this massive task is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, who brings Jesus into the midst of his people and sends us out under this same power to live and preach the gospel in our town.

The fruit of the Spirit is not primarily about the Christian's personal and private experience, but about the results the Holy Spirit produces in the life of the Christian which – when lived out in public – transform the world. The love, joy, and peace the world craves but cannot experience in its fallen and rebellious state can be had through the gracious power of the loving and restoring Holy Spirit.

Glen Carbon’s Covered Bridge 5K

St. James is excited to be supporting the Glen Carbon’s Covered Bridge 5K with volunteers on race day. This is a great community support opportunity for individuals and families. You can serve on the support team on race day; run the race if you’d like; and stay for the festivities of the Glen Carbon Homecoming!

St. James Ministry Plan

The ministry plan is available today in the narthex, on the bulletin board, on the homepage of our website and has been sent to all members via email (if your current email is on file in the church office) and standard mail to each member household. If you have not received the plan and would like it mailed or emailed to you, please contact Cheryl in the church office.

Mahnomen Community Outreach Amazon Wish List

The St. James Youth Group invites both St. James and Beautiful Savior congregations to join us in supporting Mahnomen community during our upcoming mission trip. We aim to address various needs, primarily collecting school supplies for Mahnomen Elementary School and general pantry supplies for Helping Hands Food Pantry. To facilitate donations, we’ve created an Amazon Wish List. You can send items directly to Beautiful Savior in Callaway, avoiding the need for transportation from Illinois.
