The Trinity is not an extraneous Christian doctrine – redemption only works if the Father, who eternally loves his own Son, chooses to adopt us as his children. But he doesn't make us his "extra" children, he unites us to Jesus so that we become just as much his children as Jesus. Then he guarantees this eternal reality by giving us his Holy Spirit as the down payment for our ultimate realization of this new family when Jesus returns and makes us completely his own.

Ruth Thompson – Matt Meyer Wedding

I am so grateful to the St. James Family being so involved in my life these past several years. I would be honored to include my church family in the wedding celebration of Matthew Meyer and myself as we are united in Christ. The ceremony will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 3 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. Following the ceremony, there will be a cake reception at St. James.

Sisterhood: How God Intended – Sat, Aug 10th

Please join us, August 10th from 9:00 AM to noon in St. James Fellowship Hall, for a program designed just for women! We believe in the transformative power of love and seek to share Christ’s love and direction for women in our community. Through interactive, meaningful discussions and activities that celebrate the diversity of our shared experiences, “Sisterhood” aims to create an environment where women can flourish together, in community, guided by the love of Christ and mutual respect for one another’s unique journeys.

This program will be for Women aged 13+. We hope you join us on August 10th for this adventure of spiritual growth, connection, mentoring, and love. Registration forms can be found on the credenza in the narthex.
