The tabernacle and temple in the Old Testament were the places where God lived with his people, revealed himself to them, and forgave their sins. Jesus claimed to be this new temple – the place where God lives, reveals himself, and forgives sins. Then, in Jesus, his church becomes a new temple built up as a place for the Spirit to dwell with Jesus being the chief cornerstone.

Readings and sermon were delivered by Pastor Aaron Mueller.

Ministry Planning

The ministry planning team is hard at work preparing for our Congregational Event to be held on Thursday, November 16th at 6:00 PM. This is an exciting opportunity for our congregation and everyone is encouraged to attend. Everyone is invited, from those new at St. James to longtime attenders, from students to seniors, from volunteers to leaders. Your input and attendance are vital to this process.

What opportunities has the Lord laid before St. James Church and how will they shape our future? How will you be engaged? Come, add your voice to the discussion at our Congregational Event. Dinner and child care will be provided. Please contact Cheryl in the church office to sign up. cheryl@stjamesglencarbon.org or 618-288-6120.
