When the disciples fell into the all-too-common trap of believing that the power of God's mission was theirs, the mission Jesus had put them on inevitably failed; but when we trust Jesus to do his own mission, and trust him to bring us along with him, the mission of Jesus' kingdom and church will always succeed.

- St. James 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil Event at Planned Parenthood, 317 Salem Place, Fairview Heights is Oct 2nd from 7am – 1 pm. Our church has signed up to peacefully pray to end abortion during this time in front of the facility. We need at least 2 people per hour slot. Slots are still open! Please sign-up in the Narthex.
