When do we, and when do we not, obey the government authorities? How do we make decisions about personal behaviors that aren't explicitly addressed in Scripture? Romans 13 and 14 give us Paul's direction on how to navigate these tense questions.

Grief Share
Grief/Share is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of a loved one. You’re welcome to begin attending the group at any session. A new session will begin Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 6 PM. It is held in the conference room at Good Shepherd church, 1300 Beltline Road, Collinsville, IL. Park in the lower parking lot and enter through the doors with the sign GriefShare. You’ll find help and encouragement to successfully travel the journey from mourning to joy. St. James 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil

St. James 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil Event at Planned Parenthood, 317 Salem Place, Fairview Heights is Oct 2nd from 7am – 1 pm. Our church has signed up to peacefully pray to end abortion during this time in front of the facility. We need at least 2 people per hour slot. Slots are still open! Please sign-up in the Narthex.

“What to Say When” – Y4Life Event

September 16 from 6:30 – 8pm at Metro East Lutheran High School. Learn what to say when someone you know is thinking about abortion. Come hungry! Pizza and drinks will be served. Any high school or college student can participate. Also, it’s not too late to register for our trip to the March on Life in Washington DC on January 21, 2022.
