What we do: Weprovide food and donated clothing and household items to persons and families in need in Edwardsville District.  For more than 40 years, Glen-Ed Pantry has been working for and with the community to provide food and services with dignity and respect.

Assistance:

Qualifying for Assistance. If a family qualifies for SNAP benefits, they can receive assistance from Glen-Ed Pantry after going through the application process. This begins by calling 61-656-7506. If a family has a special situation or particular hardship, they should call the pantry- we are here to help.

Services:

Food Shopping. Families can shop for food inside the pantry, through curbside pick-up of ordered bags if needed and in certain instances food may be delivered. Both pantry food shopping and SNAP benefits can be used by qualified families. Shopping is monthly plus clients may come in every Wednesday to select fresh fruits, vegetables and bread.

Clothing and Housewares. Shopping at the Second Chance Shop (donated clothing and housewares) can be done as often as needed by qualified families during regular pantry hours.

Financial Assistance. Glen-Ed Pantry has assistance for utilities only but offers services to connect families with mortgage, rent and other financial assistance.

Services Open to All*:

Mobile Market Food Event. Residents of Madison County, IL* may pick up bulk quantities of food free of charge. This event is the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3-7pm and is provided by St. Louis Area Food Bank.

 Second Chance Bag Sale. The public is invited to shop for second-hand clothing and donated housewares from 8am to Noon on the 4th Saturday of every month. Donate $5.00 for every bag you fill and dress your family on a budget!
