This Pentecost sermon emphasizes that the true miracle of Pentecost is not the dramatic signs like tongues of fire, but that the Holy Spirit enables the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be preached and heard “in your own language,” creating faith through Word and Sacrament. It highlights that Christ remains present and active in the Church through this Spirit-empowered proclamation, not through spectacle, but through the simple means of preaching, baptism, and the Lord’s Supper. Ultimately, the sermon calls hearers to value and trust this ordinary yet powerful work of God, through which He brings forgiveness, faith, and life.

- “Like a Child” (Ep144)
-
In Mark 10:15, Jesus says that anyone “who does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” This text has been misunderstood in different ways through the years since Jesus has said it. But what does it really mean? Aaron and Chuck discuss this important text on this episode of Cravings Answers, Craving God.
