When Jesus' disciples are stuck in the middle of the Sea of Galilee in the middle of the night, he comes walking on the water to them. The disciples don't understand what it means because their hearts are hard, but Jesus wants them to see that he is the true God who makes a path of redemption in the water, he is the true God who alone deserves worship, and he is the true God who works for those who belong to him.
