We all want to be loved because we deserve it, but none of us can be deserving enough to earn the kind of love we really crave. So, in spite of our fear that we can never be truly loved because of our unlovability, Jesus holds on to us, he identifies with us, and he sacrifices himself in order to rescue us with his infinitely deep love.
