In the time between Jesus' first coming and second coming God calls Christians to fill themselves up with the story of the redemption – through regularly reading and hearing his Word and by participating in the sacred drama of holy communion, which reenacts the great redemptive events of the Passover and the Crucifixion; through self-sacrificial acts of mercy and love; and through deep community – living lives with and for each other.

Readings and sermon were delivered by Pastor Aaron Mueller.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is underway! What is Operation Christmas Child? People pack shoebox gifts to bless children in need around the world. After receiving a shoebox gift, children can enroll in a 12-lesson follow-up discipleship program, “The Greatest Journey.” As a result of what they learn, boys and girls grow in Christ and share Him with others! Please take a shoebox, label and instructions from the narthex or downstairs. These shoeboxes should be packed, wrapped and returned by November 12th.

To see gift suggestions, please check out the St. James Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Gift Suggestion Form. For more information about youth events or to get involved with the Youth Ministry Team please contact Stacey Staake.

Christianity and America – Craving Answers, Craving God

We live in challenging times. We experience different challenges that require us to make judgments based on our worldview. For Christians, the Bible is at the center of our worldview. Or is it? How does our citizenship in Heaven relate to our citizenship in America? On our most recent episode of Craving Answers, Craving God, that’s our newest timely topic of discussion.
