The life of King David provides a vivid picture of the combined beauty of God's world with the brokenness of our fallen world. In his powerful Psalm 51, David laments his sins of adultery and murder, and in doing so outlines for us the causes of the fall, the extent of the fall, the results of the fall, and the Jesus-centered solution to the fall.

Readings and sermon were delivered by Pastor Aaron Mueller.

The Dark Valley – Craving Answers, Craving God

There is considerable evidence that more and more people are feeling sad, depressed and isolated. When a Christian feels this way, is there a path out of the valley? On Episode 67 of Craving Answers, Craving God, Aaron and Chuck discuss this topic and offer suggestions which can help lead to recovery. It’s the latest show on our bi-weekly podcast. Give it a listen!

Metro-East Lutheran High School Host Families Needed

Please prayerfully consider opening your home up for either a semester or the full school year. Glen-Ed Pantry "Summer Foods" Donations

In June, Glen-Ed Pantry suggests donating “summer foods” families need for cookouts, picnics and quick “Little League” meals. Foods like ketchup. mustard, s’more makings and lemonade or cool aide (with sugar) plus items from the Glen-Ed Pantry website’s “Most Needed Items” list will be in demand. For more information contact Tina Barnard at barnard.tina00@gmail.com.

Metro East Lutheran High School Matching Grant

Lutheran Foundation has generously agreed to match every dollar donated to the MELHS endowment fund with three dollars, up to $750,000. This money will be used to provide financial aid to students who need it, helping to make Lutheran education affordable for every family. We will support this initiative with two door offerings – next Sunday, June 25th, and also on July 9th – to allow families who might be traveling one of those Sundays to participate. If you have any questions, please see one of our school board representatives: Mark Eberhart, Eric Robinson, or Dan Staake.
