God loves to write narratives like the stories of Joseph, and Daniel, and Esther in which his people are powerless and oppressed, but also in which he takes the power from those who have it and gives it to his helpless, oppressed people in order that they might serve and love their enemies, growing God's kingdom.

Readings and sermon were delivered by Pastor Aaron Mueller.

Readings:

Psalm reading is from Psalm 128

Card Shower!
For Valentine’s Day, we will be showing our love for our elderly members by holding a card shower for them. What is a card shower? We will provide a packet of cards for you to take home where you can fill the cards with a message, Bible verse, picture from the kids, or word of encouragement and return them to church for delivery. The cards will be provided next Sunday and are due back at church on Sunday, February 13. We are looking for 7 volunteers to hand deliver cards in the Glen Carbon area after church on Sunday, February 13. Please contact the church office if you are interested in being a volunteer.
