It can be frustrating when our kingdom work does not appear successful, but the rejection of the Messiah is the means through which God produces real kingdom fruit.

Join us next Sunday, July 11th for an all-in-one day VBS Sunday Funday!

We will get started right after the 10:45 service with lunch and then enjoy the following exciting stations: VBS lesson, craft, bounce houses (with water fun!), snow cones and games. There will be fun for all ages with cornhole, washers, and outside games. Please invite your neighbors, friends, grandchildren, etc! The fun will last until 3 pm.

The brown couch, two red chairs, footstool, small glass-top side table and piano in the basement are free to a good home!

Upcoming Youth Serve Opportunities – Homeless Outreach

Saturday, July 10th Homeless Outreach 12:30-3:00 PM at 1818 Cleveland Blvd, Granite City, IL 62040.

In addition to serving a hot lunch, our multi-church group will be offering free hair washing. A licensed beautician has volunteered to provide haircuts and beard trimmings as well. Special needs are summer clothes, shoes, pillows, sleeping bags and hygiene items.

Micro-School Aide
Great opportunity to work as an Aide in our new micro-school right here at St. James. Serve in a Christ-centered setting, assisting the Learning Guide (teacher) in supervising students while they work on independently-led, project-based learning. “One room schoolhouse” feel with mix of 5th grade through 8th grade in one room. Three hours per day, either mornings (8-11) or afternoons (Noon-3:00).
