GlenEd Pantry
Raising funds and collecting items to donate, especially for the pantry’s busy times of year. Taking opportunities to volunteer at the pantry as a group several times a year.
SIUe International Hospitality Program
Partner with an international student from SIUe for a year/semester by welcoming them to the USA and inviting them to eat a meal in your home, especially during the holiday season.
Glen Carbon Elementary ministry
Work with the local elementary school meeting a variety of their needs. May include volunteer time or organizing donations depending on your availability and preferences.
Meridian Village projects
Interview residents to set up a special online portal for them to interact with their families online. Fulfill some data-entry based on the information collected during the interview/survey process.
Cards of Encouragement
Fill blank cards with scripture and thoughtful notes of encouragement for congregation members on different occasions throughout the year. We will meet up once every couple of months to spend time writing messages and plan a mailing schedule!
Friendly Visitors ministry
Pair with a specific congregation member(s) and visit them regularly to build relationships! It’s an awesome opportunity for devotion, prayer, and good old-fashioned fellowship.
New Parent ministry
Minister to families by providing different services for them after welcoming home a newborn. Services may include meals, housekeeping, or other tasks depending on specific family needs.
LCMS Partner Ministries
Offer support to other local LCMS churches on various work days throughout the year. These will likely be single-day opportunities to serve our sister congregations!
Mosaic Pregnancy Center partnership
Participate in different volunteer opportunities with Mosaic, like answering phones and entering data, working at specific events, acting as a discipleship leader, or hosting/participating in a group service project.

At the beginning of the Nov 3 church service, Shanna provided some brief details about these opportunities. If you missed it, a recording has been made available for your convenience.
