Get away for 24 hours with your spouse to reflect, learn, and renew your marriage!

Join members of St. James and Good Shepherd on a marriage retreat using The Art of Marriage curriculum. Whether you’ve been married 3 weeks or 30 years, this is a great opportunity to relax, reconnect and discover or rediscover God’s plan for your marriage.

When: March 10 – 11, 2023 –
Where: Four Points by Sheraton Fairview Heights, IL

Marriage, the way God intended it to be, is a true art form.  “The Art of Marriage” weaves together expert teaching, real-life stories, humorous vignettes, and more to portray both the challenges and the beauty of God’s design.  Our retreat will be using this curriculum by Family Life to facilitate and guide our event.  This is the same program as the “Weekend to Remember” offered in St. Louis each year.

Register early to secure your spot for this event!  You won’t want to miss this opportunity to connect and grow with your spouse!  Reviews from past retreats:

  • “This retreat was a great surprise for us!  After 30 years of what we considered a very happy marriage, we were surprised to find that we could still grow and learn so much about each other and what God intends for our marriage.  We would highly recommend this retreat to all couples… regardless of age, years married or strength of relationship.  It’s a great fit for all.”
  • “To us the marriage retreat gave us an opportunity to talk one on one without interruption. It provided us a platform for discussion that needed to happen but otherwise may not have happened. ….. You need a strong foundation, the same goals, and a united front to enable your family to thrive.”
  • “The weekend was enriching, exciting, & fun!”
  •  “Life and children can be very busy and it is easy to lose focus of one another.  The marriage retreat is like a reboot to your system.  It is a non-threating environment where you can open up about problems and situations many married couples face.”
