The focus of our Madison County Elementary Schools Ministry is to provide for the physical needs of children in our surrounding cities. This is accomplished by the generous donations of our congregation toward a clothing drive for coats/hats/mittens, hoodies, Christmas gifts and holiday meals (when requested/needed) which are distributed through the local schools to children/families in need.
The following activities are currently underway:
COLD WEATHER CLOTHING
- Hoodies – We are currently collecting donations of hoodies, hats and gloves/mitttens for students in need who attend Granite City and Collinsville schools.
CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS!
- We are honored to serve 31 children in our area schools for Christmas. Each child is signed up for an outfit and toy/item. The list is available on Sign-up Genius. Please join us in providing a wonderful Christmas for these children! All items should be delivered to the collection box at the top of the stairwell at St. James by Sunday, December 11th wrapped and with a gift tag showing the child’s name, age, and sex.
