At the December, 2021 congregational assembly, our members voted to proceed with a facility expansion feasibility study with Hurford Architects of Glen Carbon, Illinois. Hurford Architects is a long standing firm who has proven experience and expertise in this area, to include many projects for religious organizations. St. James’ feasibility study is intended to determine if an expansion of our facilities is needed, and if so, what type of expansion would best serve us, our mission, and our community. The first phase of this study is a survey that was sent via email to all members and is available online. The survey responses will be used to help identify our wants and needs as they relate to potential facility expansion and will assist the architect in designing to meet those needs. The initial meeting with the architect is tentatively scheduled for mid-February and will be attended by a team composed of St. James Leadership.
