Volunteers are needed to accomplish the following tasks:
All Christmas items are stored downstairs. First task will be to get the items upstairs. Then they will be assembling and decorating the Christmas tree for the narthex. Wreaths will be hung. Window ledges, piano, organ and two stands will be decorated with candles and greenery. Manger scene will be placed under the altar. The altar paraments and banners will be changed. Once all the decorating is complete, the sanctuary and narthex will need to be vacuumed.
The outside manger scene is stored in the shed outside. It needs to be setup, just outside the church office window. The outside urns need to be decorated, if someone has gathered trimmings from the tree lots. (This can wait if there are not enough trimmings available)
***If there are some capable men that could carry up the very heavy advent wreath and Christmas tree from downstairs, after the Thanksgiving Eve service, that would be very helpful. (Remember that the candles in the Advent Wreath are filled with liquid oil. They need to remain straight up and down.) The advent wreath goes up by the altar next to the baptismal font. The tree pieces can be placed in the Narthex.***
