God’s Gift of Forgiveness: Save Me Because of Your Unfailing Love – Ash Wednesday
This Ash Wednesday sermon introduces our Lenten series, setting the tone for both Christ’s journey to the cross and our own daily walk of faith through Confession and Absolution. Grounded in Psalm 6, it reflects on how God worked in David’s heart and how He continues to work in each of us through the power of Law and Gospel.
Liturgist and Preacher: Pastor William Engfehr
A Taste of Glory on the Way to the Cross – The Transfiguration of Our Lord
Peter, James, and John were eyewitnesses to the full glory of Jesus, the true son of God. However, as Jesus’ words show us, his glory comes through the pain of the cross. We also are called to take up our cross, and to suffer, if we are to experience the glory of God.
Liturgist and Preacher: Pastor Jonathan Lange; Reader: Devin Brakenhoff
Woes & Blessings – Seventh Sunday after the Epiphany
As Christians in Jesus we expect a life of woes but know we will have a life eternal of blessings.
Liturgist: Pastor Jonathan Lange; Preacher: Pastor John Lukomski; Reader: William Ellington.
Three Lessons for Life – Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany
When people say "It's complicated," what they often mean is "There is sin involved in this, and it's difficult to explain and to fix." In Jesus' famous Sermon on the Plain, also called Sermon on the Mount, He beautifully lays out God's way of handling sin and all the problems it creates. Christians know that the first step is repentance and forgiveness. This lesson goes beyond that to the practical application of grace to the problems of life.
Liturgist and Preacher: Pastor Jonathan Lange; Reader: William Ellington.
Seeking God – Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany
Why did God have so many languages and cultures on earth? From the Tower of Babel when God confused the language until the time of the Apostle Paul, the answer of why God did this was not given in Scriptures. Come find out why God gave us so many languages and cultures.
Liturgist: Pastor Jonathan Lange; Reader: Joe Rathert; Preacher: Pastor Tony Boos.
Dedicated to God – Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany
Forty days after His birth, Jesus was brought to the temple and dedicated to the Lord God. This was a practice God had established with His people the Israelites in the time of Moses. If you are a baptized Believer in Christ, you too have been dedicated to the Lord. Today we unpack what this means for your life.
Readings: David Moldenhauer. Sermon: Pastor Jonathan Lange.
