Join the Fun – Help Us Run the Audio!

Ever wondered how the sound magically happens during our worship services? Well, now’s your chance to be part of that magic! Our Media Ministry team is looking for enthusiastic volunteers (of any age!) to help run the audio board during our Sunday services. Whether you’re a Junior High student or a seasoned member, this is a fun and important way to serve our church family.

Here’s the deal: You’d be added to a rotation of volunteers, meaning you’ll only need to help out once every 6 weeks or so. But hey, if you’re feeling extra generous with your time, there’s plenty of opportunity to pitch in more!

No experience with audio equipment? No problem! We provide training, so you’ll be all set to manage the sound sources, like the pastor’s microphone and the band, during the service. It’s as simple as flipping switches, and you’ll be a pro in no time.

And let’s be honest – if you’ve ever been to one of our services, you know how crucial it is to hear the great message and music we share every week. You can help make that happen!

Help Share the Message – Join Our Live Stream Team!

Not everyone can be with us in person each week – some are out of town, others may not have the chance to attend a church like ours, or they might just be discovering us online. But thanks to our live stream, we can reach far beyond the walls of our sanctuary and share the powerful Word of God with many more people.

That’s where you come in! Our Media Ministry team needs a few volunteers to help produce our video live stream during worship services. It’s a great way to serve the Lord and our church community – and no experience is required. If you’re at least 13 years old, can focus for an hour or so, and are ready to learn, we’d love to have you!

We’re not asking for a huge time commitment. You’ll only need to help out once every 6 weeks or so, and if you want to pitch in more, that’s awesome too! Plus, you’ll get to sit in a comfy chair – and who wouldn’t want that?

Join the St. James Technology Team

Technology plays a vital role in supporting the ministry and mission of St. James. From live streaming our services to managing our website, maintaining our network, and ensuring our office technology runs smoothly, our church relies on various digital tools and systems to serve our congregation effectively.

While much of this technology operates seamlessly once set up, occasional updates, configurations, troubleshooting, and upgrades are necessary (because let’s face it, computers have minds of their own). That’s where our Technology Team comes in! We are looking for volunteers with a passion for technology who can help maintain and enhance our digital infrastructure (and occasionally turn things off and on again).

How You Can Help

Do you have experience setting up computers or printers? Have you ever successfully untangled a mess of cables without questioning your life choices? Are you comfortable configuring networks or managing cloud services? Maybe you’re skilled in web design, video production, or office applications like Microsoft Word and Excel? Whether you have extensive technical expertise or are simply eager to learn and contribute, there’s a place for you on our team!

Here are some key areas where we could use your help:

• Network & Wi-Fi Management: Assist in maintaining network hardware, configuration, and security (bonus points if you can explain why turning it off and on works 99% of the time).
• Computer & Software Maintenance: Support office computers, software, and peripherals (yes, including the printer that only works when it feels like it).
• Cloud Services & Storage: Help manage Google Workspace, cloud storage, and backups (because even our church needs a backup plan).
• Website Development & Maintenance: Assist with updating and designing our WordPress website (we promise it’s more fun than it sounds!).
• Technical Consultation: Provide insight on purchases, installations, configurations, and long-term maintainability (or just tell us which gadgets are actually worth buying).
